Description

"The research question addressed in this paper is 'what business models enable content-developers to make their materials available in a content commons by means of open content licences, rather than seeking monopoly rents from the works by means of copyright licensing fees?'. The paper commences with a consideration of the economics of innovation, in order to identify the role of information in that process. It then addresses the 'micro' question of sustainable business models for organisations working within the context of content commons." (http://www.law.ed.ac.uk/ahrc/script-ed/vol4-1/clarke.asp)
