Description

Micah Daigle:

"In this talk delivered at Lift Conference 2013 by Micah Daigle (CollectiveAgency.us), we are invited to imagine a completely new system of democracy, informed by the knowledge & technology of the 21st century.

For the past couple of centuries, we've relied on two forms of democracy (representative and direct), but both have major flaws. Daigle envisions a world where Networked Democracy allows us to represent each other on the issues we know best.

This idea (also known as liquid or dynamic democracy) has large implications for how we make decisions together, not just at the scale of government, but within every aspect of our lives, from our homes to our businesses."
