"Emily Kawano is a leader and founder of the Social Solidarity Economy movement in the USA who has worked in Northern Ireland at grassroots level. She writes well and operates as a board member internationally within Ripess - the global social solidarity economy network working on five continents and in three main languages: English, French and Spanish. She is or has been recently the Director of the Center for Popular Economics at the University of Amherst in Massachussetts."
