"Fabbing as a term refers to to “Commons-Based Peer Production of Physical Goods”. The term was coined by Peter Troxler. Troxler uses the term as an umbrella for all forms of hacking such as hackerspaces, fablabs, techshops, 100k garages, sharing platforms, and open source hardware. In my previous post, I have criticized Troxler’s view of ‘fabbing’ or ‘do-it-yourself’ culture to be more or less focused on the physical production of goods, which neglects the community aspects. Critique was based on the fact that social aspects are one of the most important factors in Hackerspaces." (http://blog.ossoil.com/2012/02/01/fabbing-industry-laying-the-foundation/)
