Bio

"Climate change and habitat destruction are the biggest threats to biodiversity on planet Earth, and in the longer term, and in an indirect way to our own species as well. In my (working) life I try to do my bit to reduce fossil fuel dependence, and to increase biodiversity where I am involved in land management.

In my energy work I am particularly interested in disruptive technologies such as photo-voltaic power generation, battery storage and electric vehicles, as ways to make the fossil fuel industry obsolete.

In my agricultural work I am interested in soil biology /composting as well as the use of (naturally occurring) biodiversity in order to reduce the impact of pathogens on crop species."
