"Lumenlab is a small company (less than 10 people) based out of Asheville, NC. The company was founded in 2003 and got its start building and supporting DIY (Do-It-Yourself) projectors. The Lumenlab forums have been a home for innovation and experimentation since the company's beginning. We are now expanding into new topics of interest to DIYers. Open-source robotics, simulation and VR, building and machining from your home garage using tools that were once only available to professional shops. Our goal is to educate and empower people with enabling technologies."

LumenLab sells Multipurpose Machines, meaning their personal-scale machines have the ability to use a number of different toolings, including 3D printing, 3D milling, and precision-engraving.
