Nina Paley's 2009 feature film Sita Sings the Blues combines the ancient Indian epic Ramayana with 1920's American jazz and contemporary animation. Focusing her talk around the film's production, licensing struggles and eventual "copyleft" release, Paley discusses artistic liberty in an era of copyright wars."
