User Owned theory defines an object as the product, output or objective of production.

Since nature is cyclic, every object is also Source in the production of other objects.

For instance, an apple is one of the objectives of an apple tree, but it is also a source when being used to bake a pie.

Even if an apple is simply eaten, it becomes a Source of energy for that Consumer.
