"Reiki is difficult to define succinctly. On the surface it involves a hands-on healing system, and in the depths most reiki is a ritual and dogma-filled belief system wrapped around a natural energy-programming style.
Open Source Reiki is a movement to make Reiki accessible and experimental -- to probe into the dogma and ritual and challenge or redefine it while maintaining the purity of the energy and essence of Reiki itself."
