Description

"Swayy is a software project of the Dynamic Democracy Initiative that aims to enable a virtual legislative process, using The Sway Method. It is currently in the concept stage.

The Sway Method is a group deliberation methodology in development. Its aim is to structure the process of debating around proposals, shedding light on common ground and identifying specific sources of disagreement. It is based on the observation that disputes often arise because people differ in what they predict will be the outcome of a proposal, despite sharing a vision of what they want the outcome to be. We believe that this method – enabled by software – can help large groups accomplish what small groups can sometimes do naturally: arrive at an understanding of why others feel the way they do, and thus lead to people being swayed by compelling evidence."
