Bio

"Marina Durano is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Economics at the University of the Philippines, where she teaches macroeconomics and development economics. Before joining university, she spent more than 15 years engaged in strengthening women’s political engagement with macroeconomic policies and global economic governance structures with DAWN or Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era and with the International Gender and Trade Network. Her recent work includes a chapter entitled “Gender-equitable public policy: challenges to policy design amidst contestations in a multi-polar world,” in the book New Visions for Market Governance: Crisis and Reinvention published this year by Routledge.
