"Nicholas Anastasopoulos, PhD is an architect, researcher and academic. Areas of research and action include local communities and eco-communities, man-made urban and natural environments interactions, degrowth, sustainability, systems and complexity theories. Current inquiry involves systems thinking as a means towards understanding human societies and achieving sustainability. Co-founder and programs coordinator of the not-for-profit organization, TREE. Experience combines the unique convergence of an architect's training with many years of eco-communities research in several countries in Europe, the US, Israel and NZ, and the management of Marathon National Park, a sensitive natural national park environment. '
