Over the past three years Matthias has been building Earth OS. An operating system for the planet. He thinks it willenable us to reduce waste. And live autarkically while still maintaining a reasonable standard of living. So far he hasproduced a 971 pg long document which looks at the EarthOS from a top down systems engineering perspective. It contains a large amount of technical details as well as a large and growing selection of existing free and openprojects from all areas. The document also serves as a mental framework for relevant technical detail work. This year he is prototyping it while living and traveling in his customised firefighter truck."
