"Reponsible Territories are a new concept initiated by IRIS. These are towns and/or regions where different methods of fighting poverty and social exclusion are working together : conventional humanitarian aid methods (those of public authorities and NGOs) and alternative methods of the responsible economy.
In Responsible Territories, public authorities, enterprises, associations and citizens are responsible together for the well being of all and the social integration of vulnerable populations. In Responsible Territories, responsible economy is well developed and is working together with conventionnal humanitarian aid methods in order to create a sustainable humanity."
