Talk:Cooperatives

Michel,

I am concerned about one of your points in comparing P2P with cooperatives:

2. P2P belongs to all and cooperatives belong to an specific collective, you know, the workers that are the owners.

This is not necessarily accurate because there is a type of cooperative much closer to User Ownership where it is not the workers, but the consumers that own.

You are correct, there are consumer cooperatives, but the principle that they are limited to their own members is the same.

coops in the UK

Would be great to add some of the excellent material and examples available from the UK, one of the prime places where the coop movement originated.

The Co-operatives UK site is a treasure trove of useful information.

If I have time later, I might get round to this, but nothing promised, so someone else please go ahead! Asimong (talk) 11:37, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
