Description

"Earthocracy is a governing practice where all earth-based life forms, not just humans, have a right to rule or govern. It involves a form of governance in which natural systems exist beyond human dominance.

Earthocracy can be further explained within two guiding principles, where the first principle is that all living entities of earth, including earth itself, have equal access to, or representation of, power and the second principle is that all life forms enjoy universally recognized freedoms and liberties.

Human ambassadors are assigned to represent life forms which are non-verbal. Their goal is to fairly represent and protect the rights and interests of these elements. This requires that humans consider the implications of their actions and beliefs upon peace, the natural world and future generations.

This deference to peace, the natural world and future generations is referred to as the Three Guiding Principles.

Earthocracy works when its members understand the dynamics of mutual aid. That is...

...It is through our cooperation that we are able to be successful in any community or environment. And, it is by sharing a common belief in mission of the MLC, and the principles and foundation upon which it rests, that we are able to unite and realize our individual potential."
